Overall, I had a good experience and really enjoyed my visit. My main disappointment was with the initial welcome from the hostess, as I did not feel properly greeted or acknowledged when I arrived. First impressions matter, and I think this could have been handled with a little more warmth and attentiveness. Feeling the need to mention I was charged the no call no show fee even before the 15 minute grace period was up but not even informed it was being refunded after checking in. The service from my server and food runners/ server assistants however, was definitely the highlight of my experience. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my visit. Their hospitality really helped make up for the lackluster greeting. I did also find the service from the bartenders to be somewhat subpar. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and engagement, which took away from what could have been an even better experience. That said, I appreciate the establishment and what it brings to the community. With a little more consistency in hospitality from the hostess, bar staff or a manager this could have been an excellent overall experience. Th

KYU every year is one of my favorite Miami Spice restaurants. And this year didn’t disappoint. 3 of KYU’s signature courses are served up for dinner at a price fix of $60 during the months of August and September for Miami Spice 2026. Starting with the Short Rib Bao Buns, then the KYU signature Korean Fried Chicken, and topped off with the signature Coconut Cake, this meal is total perfection. Highly recommended. My favorite spot in Miami, hands down! 😍 The biscuits?! OOOOUF — so delicious. The miso butter and honey combination takes them to another level. Easily an 11/10. 😂 And the Korean fried chicken?! 😍 Unfortunately, I don’t have many pictures because I absolutely devoured it before I could even think about taking more lol — but I captured what I could! The desserts are great too. I definitely recommend the s’mores cake if you have room after everything else. And lastly, 10/10 customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food, atmosphere, and service keep me coming back. Definitely one of my Miami favorites!

KYU used to be our favorite restaurant in Miami. Whenever we had people into town, we would take them here. Then KYU came under a new chef and management. When they finally reopened, the Infatuation said “if you liked the old KYU you wouldn’t like the new one.“ wrong!!! We just enjoyed a fabulous lunch at the bar for Miami spice. We had the delicious burrata and crispy tuna starters, and miso Seabass and their famous Shishito cauliflower. The desserts were outstanding too. It was every bit as delicious and authentic as the original KYU. I understand the original chef is back! The Bar, staff and management were gracious, professional, and engaging. We will be back.

We went to Kyu for a Mother’s Day lunch. They did a beautiful job to make it a lovely Mother’s Day. They gave flowers to all the moms and also had a little box of chocolates for the table as well. Our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the softshell crab bao buns, the roasted cauliflower and the Japanese sweet potato. Everything was delicious. It was a wonderful experience.
